WEEE recycling costs?

From as little as £70+VAT, we can carry out the clearance and recycling of electronic equipment. It’s fast, it’s simple, and it is done properly.

However, if you have a volume of valuable items to clear, for example computer recycling, we could offer you a rebate based on the value  – your return could even exceed the cost of the clearance altogether. Profiting from recycling your electronic items – what more could you ask for? If you think you qualify for the rebate scheme we run, please fill in a WEEE valuation form send it through to us

Compliant with the WEEE Legislation

Do not damage the environment by using clearance contractors that do not dispose of any waste in the right way. All our work is carried out in accordance to the legislation put in place by The Environment Agency.

All WEEE recycling must be carried out in accordance with The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive 2007. Our service is fully compliant with this directive, as well as being highly responsible and environmentally friendly.
When we complete any WEEE removal task, we’ll provide you with a waste transfer note which proves you have signed over all the responsibility for the waste to us here at Enviro Waste. Once the items leave your premises, they are our responsibility, and we’ll deal with them in an ethical manner. If you’re a commercial enterprise, we’ll also provide you with a consignment note for the clearance too, subject to requirements.

If you’re having sensitive data wiped or destroyed from hardware as part of your waste clearance service, we provide a certificate of the wipe or destruction, as well as an inventory which reports on the work done to each piece of equipment we’ve worked on for you.

We hold the following licences:

  • A waste carriers license allowing us to carry waste
  • S2 license allowing us to store WEEE waste
  • T11 license allowing us to carry out the refurbishment and repair of WEEE

WEEE disposal guidance

To make sure you’re doing the right thing in handing your WEEE over to the right company, we recommend that you consider the following:

• The illegal activity that surrounds WEEE disposal. The continued mistreatment of our electronic waste could eventually cause a huge environmental disaster.
• External bodies have introduced a range of legislation to combat the mishandling of this equipment – Enviro Waste is fully up-to-date on all legislation of this type.
• The huge need for companies collecting WEEE to do so in accordance with the associated legislation – as Enviro Waste always do.

We’ve created an ultimate WEEE Guide outlining the current problems with WEEE waste in the UK and what we as individuals can do to help, both in our professional and personal lives.

WEEE waste is now one of the biggest waste streams in the world and will continue to keep growing until we all make a conscious decision to act. We support the call for the end to a throwaway society and the adoption of a sustainable circular economy.

You can also find out the current situation of WEEE waste in the UK by reading our WEEE disposal information page.

We’ve also put together an information document which can help you choose the right contractor for the job – packed with advice to ensure you opt for the very best contractors in the business.

Re-using & recycling electronic equipment

At Enviro Waste, our aim is to either re-use or recycle 100% of the electronic equipment we clear. Every single piece of electronic waste that we clear will be passed through our WEEE treatment facility, where we repair and refurbish many electronic items, we have a separate facility where we carry out our confidential data destruction service.

As well as acting in full accordance with all relevant legislation, whenever we carry out any kind of clearance, we make a small donation to the Woodland Trust’s woodland creation program, which plants new trees all over the country. Click here to read more about our involvement with this charity.
